Mortgage Banking

AmCap Mortgage has been a direct lender in the State of Texas for over 10 years. Garrett Clayton along with Terry Garth purchased AmCap from the founder, Jordan Novelli, in late 2006. Due to the “perfect storm” in the mortgage industry AmCap has grown its origination platform from $5 million a month in total lending to well over $25 million a month in a few years. AmCap’s main operations center is in Houston in the American First National Bank building at the corner of Bellaire Blvd. and Beltway-8. AmCap has net branches in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin and just recently opened a corporate office in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

“We are in the process of doubling our warehouse lines of credit which will enable us to take advantage of all the opportunities out there that present themselves on a daily basis.” With a few strategic alliances and several large net branching opportunities AmCap plans to be at the $50 million a month by the end of the first-quarter of 2011.

Although growing the book of business is an exciting venture “our main goal at AmCap is doing good loans for good borrowers.”

Garrett Clayton formed One Solution Insurance Group in the early part of 2007 which focuses primarily on writing Auto, Home Owner’s, Commercial, Life, Health and Umbrella coverage for our affiliated company’s clients.

Marlene Carles heads up the day-to-day operations for One Solution and has done an excellent job of servicing all of our clients’ needs. One Solution is part of the Barhorst Insurance Group which was founded by Warren Barhorst. “Our goal at One Solution is to help our clients grow and protect their assets.” Each client is unique as well as their insurance needs and that is why each client goes through a full interview process and an annual review of their coverage to ensure they are well protected.
